More Discovery Time Learning

Making Soup..Wood work.. Loom Bands..Painting..Wooden Blocks..Creating Puppet shows on the iPads..
This week we had some helpful Room 2 children come through to us and teach us how to make Loom Band bracelets. We also had and expert wood worker to show us some skills at our wood work table. We made yummy vegetable soup and ate it for lunch...ooh it was good!

The Big Rain

This week at school we had a big rain storm. We used this opportunity to write some stories about what the rain looked like, sounded like and felt like...

The rain felt like rain on my head and water bullets.

The rain got on Room 4 deck. I felt cold.

I felt the rain it was like bullets smashing onto my arm. I heard the rain smashing onto the ground. But then it came into a rainstorm.

The rain felt like cold. It was super cold.

The rain was like icicles splashing down on my top.

Two or three times a term each class at Hope School goes to the TDC Library in Richmond. This is a great time to enjoy a huge range of books, either by ourselves, with a friend, or with our parent helpers.

Discovery Time Week 7

This week we enjoyed some more fun times together during Discovery Time.

New iPads...

Mrs Ross has shown us some new activities where we need to work together with the iPads. We have also been working together on the computers. This afternoon we had another session with our new iPads and tried more of these activities.
Oh what fun!!

The letter "y"

Wet Day

Noah and Lucas were busy during our wet lunch playtime creating this amazing structure.

Discovery Time

During Discovery Time this week we were learning how to 'work together' .....We showed how good we were at this while working on a group painting and while sharing the equipment we were using. Great work Room 3!

Cross Country at Rabbit Island

What a beautiful day we had for our Cross Country this year... Room 3 ran their little hearts out as they stormed past me taking photos. Some of them ran so fast I missed them totally with the camera..Sorry guys.
