I hope you can get down to the Richmond Show grounds over the weekend to see our great work. Keep a look out for our Gingerbread men as well.
Welcome to our blog. We are a class of year 0-1 students (5-6 yr olds) at Hope Primary School in New Zealand. Our teacher is Mrs Ross and this blog is a journal of our learning experiences while we are here in Room 3.

Our A and P Show Creations
Today we worked on our entries for the A and P show. We decorated biscuits, made some Fruit or Vegetable Creations and then made some Sand Saucers full of beautiful flowers.
I hope you can get down to the Richmond Show grounds over the weekend to see our great work. Keep a look out for our Gingerbread men as well.

Junior Athletics at Appleby school
On the 9th of November Room 3 and 4 children travelled out to Appleby School to take part in some fun athletic activities. The weather was amazingly hot (for a change). We had a super morning and meet lots of new people too. Thanks to the parents who came and helped with transport and some of the activities.

Our Gingerbread men are finished
We have finished sewing our gingerbread men and they have now been sent to the A and P Show grounds to be on display in the children's handcraft section. Go along on Saturday the 19th and have a look at them. They look great. It was fun learning some new skills and I think the children really gained from this new experience. Sewing on buttons was a bit of a challenge for some but the hand sewing around the outside was much easier. I think you'll agree they look pretty awesome!!
Thank-you to all of the parent helpers who came to support the children in this learning activity...I couldn't have done it with out you. Maybe one of us will win a ribbon??
