Welcome to our blog. We are a class of year 0-1 students (5-6 yr olds) at Hope Primary School in New Zealand. Our teacher is Mrs Ross and this blog is a journal of our learning experiences while we are here in Room 3.
Today Room 4 discovered a whole lot of ants outside our classes. So of course we had to go and take a look. There were heaps of them! I wonder what they were doing?
They are a bit hard to see in the concrete. Can you see them???
We think they were eating scraps from our lunches. Maybe someones sandwich had dropped some crumbs. We had a discussion about what else we think ants might eat. Maybe things like...punpkin, apple, banana and salt.
I think ants are great as long as they stay outside and aren't those nasty ones that bite.
