Something completely different for a school morning...thats for sure.
Welcome to our blog. We are a class of year 0-1 students (5-6 yr olds) at Hope Primary School in New Zealand. Our teacher is Mrs Ross and this blog is a journal of our learning experiences while we are here in Room 3.

Battle of Somme Re-enactment
Yesterday at Hope School we were treated to a visit from The "Fifth Waikato Dragoons". They shared some of their knowledge about the battle of Somme which happened 100 years ago. Then we used the swords and flour bombs we had made and had a battle to re-enact what had taken place.

A big thank you to Room 3 at Hope School for your blog post about our visit last week. Your school impressed us with enthusiasm and your ability to stick together - and the Dying By the Numbers exercise was the best we've had at any school :). It was great to see your teachers get involved!
ReplyDeleteWe will see you again in two years time!
